A four storey (plus basement and attic) building of painted stone construction. It has a slate roof which is gabled with a central trapezoidal projection, with a small skylight window. The front elevation has multiple entrances which are recessed behind shop front windows. The ground floor shop windows consist of numerous large single panes to the street front and the door recesses.

The first floor windows are currently blocked out with recent mock square frames.

On the second floor has three large windows with arched tops, comprising large and small panes. Only the centre three large panes, on the right hand window, are now functional with all others being blocked out. Modern shutters/vents have been inserted into some second floor windows.

The third floor has three casement windows with top and side openers.

The fourth floor has two arched windows, one on the right and one on the left, each with 12 small panes blacked out. There are possibly two rectangular windows, which have been blacked out, at the top of the decorative columns.

The façade is divided vertically into three identical sections. There are four mock semi-columns of the left and right of the façade and in between the windows. Columns are headed by decorative capitals. A string course runs across the top of the second floor windows between the columns. A wider string course runs above the third floor windows. Each set of third floor windows is flanked by half columns with scroll capitals and each set of six panes is separated by full columns and scroll capitals.

The third floor windows are recessed with projecting sills and decoration in relief above. Each section of the façade is topped by projecting triangular stone work with the addition of a central triangular pediment. At the top of the left and right columns is a lead cupola. On either side of the building perpendicular to the roof is rectangular stonework at the ends of the roof and up to the height of the ridge. On the left hand side elevation has a rendered stone surface.

On the third floor there is a top opening casement window is present, with a sill. The right hand elevation is also rendered with an irregular roof profile. There is an emergency exit located to the far right side on the third floor level with an associated staircase.
