1 High Street
This is a brick building which has been re-fronted with a modern brick covering, bonded together with mortar in a stretcher set, whereas the rest of the building is set out in English Garden. The roof at the front has a slated ridge with two dormers. There is also a parapet with kneelers at the ends.
There are two rectangle chimneys one to the north with two pots and the one to the south with four. At the rear of the building there are two rectangular brick chimneys in the centre with three pots on each. On the ground floor there is a double door and a single door entrance to the building. There are three large windows and three smaller ones above them which cover the pub’s front. On the first floor there is a single two pane casement window above the double door.
There are two bay windows with four large panes and five small ones, above the single door and pub front windows. At the north side of the building there are two sash windows with lintels. There are three large casement windows and a small four pane windows at the rear of the building. They have all brick lintels. On the second floor there are two balustrade balconies with two windows each with two openers. There is a lot of ornamental brick decoration under the windows. On the north side there are two sash windows with lintels. There is a small window on the east side of the north wall. The dormer windows in the roof have ornamental stonework. There is a hanging pub sign between the bay windows. On the front there are ornamental cast iron drains. The rear extension of the building on the north side is rendered.
