This unique, original soundtrack has been composed, created, edited and produce by a group of exceptional emerging young musicians. As part of the Apollo Arts Young Music Leaders programme, the team at Apollo have supported 15 young people to develop their own practice over the past 18 months. The group take part in mentoring sessions, workshops, tutorials, masterclasses and live projects that enhance their knowledge and musical practice as they for embark on the next step in their musical careers. Journey on Locomotion No.1 is inspired by the 195th Anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. Using percussion, vocal percussion they have created a piece that sounds like a journey with all the bells and whistle of 195 years ago, they have even hidden the letters 'S-T-E-A-M' listen careful to see if you can spot them all!
