This three storey building is constructed of stone blocks and mortar, rendered to the ground floor. It has a gabled slate roof, with one transverse rectangular concrete chimney stack with three pots. There is one entrance which cuts across the building on the High Street/Church Road corner.

To the front elevation on the ground floor there are two groups of windows: 4x12 paned sash window and 3x12 sash window. On the first floor there are five sash windows, and to the second floor there are three sash windows. All windows have simple rectangular sills and trapezoidal lintels.

To the side elevation on the ground floor there are three sash windows; to each of the first and second floors there is one sash window with a sill and lintel. Two vents are present either side of the second floor window. There is wooden boarding above the ground floor windows across the width of the front elevation. There are also rectangular panels beneath each window. Wooden tapered ‘pillars’ flank each window group on the ground floor and the doorway, with simple ‘capitals’ and plinths. There is similar wooden decorative panelling either side of the ground floor windows on the side elevation.

A drainpipe runs down the right hand side of the front elevation, with a hopper above the ground floor level. There is also a cast iron drainpipe on the left hand side of the side elevation. On the front elevation there are two decorative plaques, depicting two birds, one square and one shield shape which possibly depicts a ‘V’ referring to the Vaux brewery. On the left hand side elevation there is another similar plaque depicting two birds at ground floor level on the left hand side of the building. A pub sign hangs on the right side of the side elevation, at first floor level.
