92 High Street

This building was a 1960s modern style design with a concrete and glass frontage. There are three storeys to the building. The roof is flat, probable concrete construction with a plant room at the rear of the main structure. Behind the main structure there is a double storey metal cladded building with raised roof lights which stretches all the way back to West Row. This was formally the sorting office and is now a Row karaoke bar. At the front there is a single double door set back.

On the ground floor it is a continuous gallery window with a typical Post Office frontage.

On the first floor there are twelve windows, some of which probably pivot. The second floor is identical. Concrete facing is evident on the roof level. At the rear there is one double door and one single door.

On the ground floor there is what looks like a rectangular louved vent. At first floor level there are seven blocked in windows present, one of which has been converted to a louved extract. There is a single chimney, large and apparently concrete in construction. This may be a ventilation extract.
