82 Church Road

The three storey end terrace of three bays with former shop frontage to ground floor of south elevation. Handmade brick, English garden wall bond. The double pile roof arrangement with front roof of slate not obscured behind parapet wall, and rear roof of corrugated asbestos. String course to first and second floors (largely removed at first floor by presence of shop front).

String course only present on south elevation. Modern timber doorcase in mock Georgian style, and 24 light bow window to former shop front. The south elevation has three sash windows with painted stone sills and brick lintels to first floor, and three smaller 6sash windows with brick sills and lintels to the second floor. Black gutter and downpipe to south (front) elevation.

The east and north elevations part are rendered. The render is coming away from wall in patches to the east elevation. East and north sides of the building show much evidence of modern un-sympathetic alteration to the original structure. East elevation has eleven eight light UPVc units and timber bay window with UPVc glazing to ground floor. Small lean to extension to north-east corner of property. Brick built large flat roofed extension across full width of the north side of the property. Partially rendered with evidence of multiple phases of brickwork. Blocked windows and evidence of windows reduced in size. East side of rear extension of old brickwork, the rest of modern infill. Brick retaining walls and railings to the rear of the plot. Modern plastic gutters and rainwater goods to north elevation.
