78 Church Road

This three storey brick built (mortar) is a Georgian house using Flemish bond, no basement visible. Currently empty, formerly a music bar (signage still visible). Slate roof, pitched North-South with two brick transverse chimney stacks on east and west elevations (no pots). A single six panel door, five steps, Doric pilasters with frieze etc above. Ground floor has two brick bays either side of door, sashes, wooden frames with three sets of 2x 9 lights.

On the first floor has two bays as for ground, either side of a central, wooden, sash window 2x9 lights. On the second floor is same as first floor, but 2x6 lights. All windows have brick lintels, stone keys and stone sills. Each bay on first floor has eight tie bars with four tie bars on each second floor bay.

On south elevation are three stone string courses with ground floor one painted black; iron sign to left, iron rainwater pipes each side and further signage either side of door. Curtain iron railings on shaped stone base. Modern lighting to eaves.

On the north elevation shows very small sky light; blocked dormer window and several bricked-up windows on two storey section with kneeler visible to east side; large single storey brick extension with flat roof and two boarded-up single doors.
