70 Dovecote Street
This appears to be a domestic building which has been converted to commercial use. It is constructed in Flemish-bond brickwork, with mortar coursing. The ridged roof is covered in concrete tiles. There is a transverse brick stack with four chimney pots, shared with four pots on number 72. There is one single entrance door, with a window above.
The ground floor shop window has six panes. There are two doors, one to the East accesses the upstairs flat. The other is the shop entrance. The first floor has one UPVC window, with two panes. There is feature red and yellow brickwork around the window. The brickwork under the eaves is identical to no 68 Dovecote Street. This building is part of a block which includes 68 and 72. The North has one UPVC window in the main building at first floor level, containing two panes. There is probably a similar window downstairs. There is a roof light in the main building, suggesting an attic room, although this is not apparent from the front. There is an extension at the back, which is shared between 68 and 70. This brick extension appears to date from the same time as the main building. There is a window in the North side of the extension, two panes, and a similar window in the East side of the extension. There is a yard at the rear.
