68-72 Norton Road (Victoria Terrace)

This is a two-storey brick fronted building with English garden. The roof is slate and ridge profile. 72 and 70 appear to have been built as one as the courses at the join are continuous. Number 68 has an obvious join. This is a block of three Georgian style houses, each entrance has a columned porch. Most have a modern tiled stone or paved entrances to the porch. Each building has four sash windows with brick lintels on the ground floor.

On the first floor there are five sash windows with brick lintels. Most of the buildings have suggestions of blocked-up basement windows. Number 70 has a felt roof covering an extension to one of these basements. There is a stone stringer course below the windowsills at each level and parapet and cornice below roof level. Number 68 has a rear extension with a dormer window and a separate two-storey extension adjacent to the road. This extension has three windows with central opener, two wide doors and one narrow door.

The dormer window has about six panes, there is a small two-storey extension to the rear of the main building. Number 72 has a rear extension in modern brick with a felt roof. This extension has three small windows and two larger windows. The main building also has dormer windows with about 6 panes. There is a large yard with double doors in a modern brick wall. Number 74 has a four-pane window at the rear and a single storey rear extension with a felt roof with windows and doors to the rear wall. These houses have a long front garden with stone gate pillars and wrought iron fencing and gates.
