64 Dovecot Street

This two storey building is constructed of brick in Flemish Bond with mortar bonding. The roof is slate and hipped format, it has two chimneys one with four and one with two pots, with stone caps and string courses. The double entrance has a stone pedimented surround with a canvas canopy. On the ground floor there single windows, with stone sills and lintels with canvass canopy. On the first floor there are three double round arch stone surrounded windows with two panes and a semi-circular pane at the top.

This East frontage is very ornate with stone stringer courses, and ornamented window and door surrounds. The south side is similar with high ground floor windows which have wrought iron railings in front. The upper floor has five windows to the same design as the east side. At the rear is attached another building which appears to an earlier construction but is attached to the above, this building is constructed in brick, English Garden Wall bond with three stretchers and mortar boding, The building has a slate roof in a ridge form, there are no chimneys. On the North side, are two x two pane and slightly arched tops with brick lintels , there is a stringer course to lintel level and two string courses, eight courses down from eaves. One single metal door and two, double metal doors.

On the East side, there are two similar two pane windows there is a arched feature in the centre which appears to have been bricked in which may have been a window. Brick string courses are as the same as the North side, there is a higher string course between the eaves and there are further string courses and three slits higher on the wall. There are five string courses on this wall, just below the roof line and parallel with it.
