5 Ramsgate
The building is of two storeys built in stretcher bonded brick with mortar. The roof is ridged with concrete tiles. The building is part of a block with No 4 and has a shared rear extension at right angles to the frontage. The face has small brick pediments in the form of an attic without windows. At each end of the roof are brick kneelers and a string course of headers and stretchers below the gutter. This gives a low parapet on the ridges of the roof. The shop front consists of a large double window, semi-circular at the top and a single door. All surrounded by a wooden case surmounted by a fascia. This has been designed to fit in with the perceived area of older buildings. The first floor has two modern windows, giving the appearance of four panes per window.
