47 – 49 Norton Road
The three storey brick building rendered to east and south elevations. Modern tiled, pitched roof, one transverse chimney (one pot with cowl) stack to north elevation. Evidence of two separate stacks shown in brick work of north elevation. Roof has unusual junction at south east corner. East and south elevations have shop type architraves, metal roller shutters and tiled roof. Single door on east and south elevations with one on south east corner.
South side has 2 x 2 light (top opening) upvc windows on first floor and three on second floor each with concrete sills and decorative key stones. String course below second floor windows. On the east elevation has 4 x 2 light (top opening) windows to second floor; first floor has two bays with three lights, left with lead roof, right with lead and felt covering.
Second floor of north elevation shows red brick. West elevation shows brick with signs of surface cover; has small two light (top opening) window on first floor with three light, brick arched and concrete sill, wooden window while second floor has two windows, one of upvc with brick arch arch and concrete sill. Fire door and escape stairs from second floor. Small lean-to on ground floor - details obscured by retaining wall(rendered).
