43-44 High Street
There are flanking pilaster strips with pronounced vertical bonding on the first floor. The bonding is three bricks deep with a single brick level set back. The brickwork is English bond and painted white. The ground floor has a modern shop frontage with Victorian style ornamentation.
The first floor has a large, unusual bay window with six large lights and six small stained glass lights above these. This window has an ornamented wooden canopy and a parapet above this canopy with balustrades and ornamental ironwork. However this is a façade because the roof is flat behind the raised parapet. The rear of the building, in Green Dragon yard, is brick in English bond with mortar bonding. The ground floor has two casement windows with 20 panes each and there is one single door.
