41 High Street
This is an ornate, Edwardian brick building from 1902. The ground floor has a modern shop front with aspects of Victorian design. The first floor has one large casement with two large and two small panes. There are two single windows either side of this one which have been bricked in.
One the second floor there are three casement windows, with the centre one having four panes and each side one having two panes. One the third floor there are two casement windows at either side. The centre has a higher arched window with six panes with a circular ornamentation. The building is very ornamented, with brick pillars with urns on the top with stone bases and decorated with terracotta tiles, some having shields and flowers. The roof is slate, ridged, gabled and tipped.
