39 High Street
Painted brick to front elevation. The right side elevation can only be seen on ground floor, and appears to be rendered brick. Only small part of the rear elevation is visible, which also appears to be of rendered brick. This has a single storey extension which appears to be a more recent addition to service as entranceway to a set of six residences above.
The building has a shallow pitched roof, gable profile with two transverse brick chimneys [no pots apparent]. The building has four storeys. The ground floor entrance is hidden behind modern shutters of vacant retail premises. The other three floors above have equal sized windows with wooden frames and stone lintels; four per floor. Other features apparent typical of Georgian buildings are: quoin stones, string courses and parapet.
