38 & 38A Norton Road

This two storey rendered building divided into two parts. The roof is ridged slate. The south side has a shop front with door and shuttered window. The north side has a bricked up frontage with two casement windows above. There is an inset door with half height wrought iron gates.

On the first floor are two Bow windows one above each part of the building with five panes with smaller panes above. The frame has slightly ornamented header. Centrally is a smaller casement window with a top opening light. There is a brick cill. There are two chimneys the one on the south has no pots the one on the north appears to be shared with the adjacent property.

The rear is quite complex with the south half ending at ridge height ie only half a building. There is a single casement window at first floor level with a concrete lintel. There is a single storey extension with door to north side. The north half of the building is rendered brick with casement windows at first halfway between first and ground and ground floor levels. There is a ground floor door. The extension has a shuttered door to road The rear yard has a wooden fence and gate to the road.
