37 High Street
The building appears to be constructed of bricks with a façade in a classical style, showing ornamental stone corbels just below the parapet. The south and north elevations are rendered at the rear. The windows at the front façade of the building are grouped as a set of three windows grouped together, connecting, between a single window on either side, for three storeys. The windows on the third floor appear different, in a normal arch style. The top storey shows four dormer windows set into the roof, with their own individual pitched roofs. A small part of the south elevation has glazed brickwork running vertically down the length of the wall; the remainder of the wall appears rendered brick.
The building has a hipped roof made of slate as visible from the front of the building. Pantiles are visible on the roof from all other sides of the building, gable style. From the rear of the building, the brickwork has English Garden Wall coursing, with fourteen bricked-up windows. Two of these bricked-up widows appear large, and could have functioned as a long entrance. There are numerous ventilation outlets set into the wall. Four small windows are present, with wooden frames, set into the third and fourth floor. Only one transverse chimneys visible on the south side, as seen from the front of the building.
