29 High Street, extension also covers 2 and 3 Silver Street
This building is brick with an English bond and mortar bonding material. There is one transverse chimney with no pots and one single entrance. The building is three storeys high and on the ground floor there is a modern shop front with one large plate glass window and three smaller plate glass windows supporting an ATM.
On the first floor there are two sash widows with decorative sandstone surrounds, with two sash windows with the same decoration on the second floor (these two are squatter than those on the first floor). There is a decorative sandstone plaque between the first and second storey windows. Directly under the roof, which appears to be a hip slate type, there is ornamental guttering which is supported by corbels with sandstone plaques. There appears to be a parapet around it.
On the side of the building extending to 1 and 2 Silver Street there are three sash windows with decorative sandstone surrounds on the first and second floor of the original building. These windows are one third deeper than those on the front. The extension is brick and has six sash windows with two panes each on the first and second floors. Every window has sandstone sills and lintels. Between the first and second storey windows there is a stringer course of stone. The centre section of the building is rendered. The guttering of the extension is supported by inset brickwork and the extension is set lower than the original building. The roof is pan tile ridge. To the rear of the building the only visible part of the building is a side extension with two, two paned sash windows.
