28/28A Norton Road

This three Storey brick building with tiled ridged roof. There is a roof light.. The walls are bonded with mortar in the English bond  style. There is ornamented string courses below eaves level. The shop front is shuttered believed standard shop front with door. The first floor has a  bay window in UPVC. The second floor has two by two pane UPVC windows separated by about two brick lengths. The stone lintels and cills on the two windows are adjoining each other. The rear has been much modified with the two first floor windows(each with two panes) being reduced in size with brick lintels however the original brick lintels are visible. Three corbels blow eaves level.

There is a rear extension up to first floor level with a similar window and a UPVC door to an external fire escape. This extension has a flat felted roof and brickwork shows evidence of construction in two phases. There is a galvanised modern flue running outside the building to just above first floor level. The rear wall of a possible yard has a wide roller shutter door.
