27 Dovecot Street
The ground floor has had a modern wooden façade installed over brick. The first floor still retains its original early 20th Century brick in English Garden Wall bonding. A rectangular chimney is shared by No. 27 and 29 with two pots, and all the first floor windows are original. The roof has a decorated brick cornice following the entire length of each face beneath the eaves and has a gable profile which has two ridges of bonnet hip tiles from chimney to two corner edges, the rest of which is slate tile. At the back of the property a later extension has been added to the ground floor. Materials used: Early 20th Century brick and a modern wooden façade. The roof is built of slate tiles. Number of storeys: 2 Fenestration and doorways: A single entrance in-set of the front façade, with a large double paned window, with a first floor that still has its original two sash windows with white painted sills lintels, and frames. At the back, a single entrance, now boarded with a wooden door, appears to have allowed access to the back extension. The two windows at the back have been filled with modern bricks.
