26-27 High Street
This building has three floors and is made of brick, with an English bond and mortar bonding material. The roof is ridged slate and there are four transverse brick chimneys with no pots. There is one single entrance decorated with a mock marble possible beehive above the door. The ground floor is a modern shop front done in mock marble with six casement windows each containing two panes of glass. On the second floor are three windows comprised of one twenty paned arched sash window with a highly decorative lintel flanked by two sixteen pane sash windows. The window formation is the same on the first floor but the centre window is not arched, has a less decorative lintel and has a black cast iron balustrade in front of it. Above the second floor there is a brick balustrade surrounding the roof. There are two brick archways encasing the first and second storey windows. To the rear of the building there is a three storey extension with three casement windows at each level. There is a tower above these windows and a small lower rear extension that is not readily visible. One the first and second floors of the rear of the original building there are two casement windows.
