23 West Row
This is a two storey, brick building with rendering on the ground floor. The bonding is inconsistent throughout and the double pitch roof covered in slate. In the West Row façade there are two windows on each floor. They each have a stone lintel and a projecting stone sill. The windows are largely boarded up but seem to be all of the same form. This is of a three pane opening light above two fixed panes. Entrance to the building is via a single door in the south facing wall. There are currently no openings onto Ship Inn Yard but there is a blocked window at the first floor level and evidence of a large arched opening, probably a door, that has also been bricked up. Gutters run along the West Row and Ship Inn Yard facades. They discharge into down comers situated to the north of the building. The rain water goods are in a poor state of repair. Three metal fittings are attached to the West Row façade of the building above the ground floor windows. These do not pass thorough the building and their function is unclear.
