153 High Street
This three storey building constructed of brick and mortar, with a variety of bonding patterns, mainly Flemish bond. The brickwork around the first floor left hand window is distinctive. Whereas most of the brickwork on the front elevation is of Flemish bond, the top four courses comprise all stretches. It has a gabled slate roof which accommodates living space. There is one transverse rectangular brick chimney with four moulded clay pots. It is assumed that there are three entrances in total, but the main shop entrance is presently obscured by shutters.
The second floor windows have decorative stone sills with two corbel supports each. On the roof there are four equally spaced skylight windows. Below the eaves, running the width of the front elevation, is a decorative wooden panel with corbels. There is a drainpipe running down the left hand side.
