148 High Street (1)
This is a three storey building, made of brick and mortar consisting of English garden wall bond. It has a gabled roof covered in slate, there is no chimneys present. This building forms only part of property number 148 High Street.
On the first floor there is a tall narrow sash window of 18 panes. On the second floor there is one eight-paned sash window, with a sill and lintel. Below the first floor window and between the first and second floor windows, there is a horizontal brick/concrete decorative course, running the width of the building. Also, there is a similar decorative band three “bricks” wide running under the eaves, possibly to raise the building to the level of the adjacent building. There is a pilaster on the right hand side of the building. It is likely that the building has been truncated at either the left or the right hand side.
