RAF Thornaby and 608 Squadron
Welcome to the RAF 608 (North Riding) Squadron Archive, a collection of photographs, pilot log books, and other ephemera, which together offers an interesting insight into this Auxiliary Air Force Squadron of the Royal Air Force.
608 Squadron operated from Thornaby-on-Tees Aerodrome, North Yorkshire, from 1930 to 1957, when it was disbanded. It was a day bomber, fighter and reconnaissance unit.
It is with many thanks to Craig Willis and Julie Allinson for collecting, organising and digitising this collection.
