A Pride Job

A Pride Job

In 1987 the then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, walked around the old industrial site of Head Wrightson in Thornaby-on-Tees. Her walk became an iconic symbol of the end of Industrial Britain.

Head Wrightson was a company with a global reputation for its craftsmanship and with a workforce revered worldwide for its skills and dedication.

This film 'A Pride Job' looks at the extraordinary links between work and community that thrived here for so long.
