With the centenary of the end of the First World War fast approaching we were very grateful to receive a history of Robert Nicholson, researched and compiled by his granddaughter Glen Clerk. Sergeant Nicholson of the Royal Engineers received the Military Medal for gallant conduct and devotion to duty, presented by the Mayor of Stockton on Tees.
