Time enough for 47 takes

I asked my Dad for some ideas of things to do during lockdown. He suggested researching Rube Goldberg… Rube Goldberg was an American cartoonist who drew cartoons of machines which were designed to perform simple tasks in an indirect and overly complicated way. They usually involved a series of simple devices each triggering another device down a long trail to achieve a simple task. Day 15 of lockdown seemed like the perfect time to make our own! Here’s our tribute to Rube Goldberg, it took us 47 attempts but we think this is how he would have made a cup of tea.
