Yarm 1914 Passchendaele Commemoration

You’ll be happy to know that occasionally we are let out, blinking in the sunshine, from the dusky confines of the Library and Museum.  Last Sunday it was a pleasure to be part of the Yarm 1914 Group’s commemoration of the centenary of The Battle of Passchendaele.  While naturally sombre at times there was still plenty of historical interest to enjoy.  As you can see over at Picture Stockton period artefacts, memorabilia and collections were all on display for people to experience.  But our team of law enforcement officers do look a little intimidating on there.  So just to make sure you’re not put off a visit to Preston Park Museum,  here they are looking less likely to dish out a cuff round the ear and a night in the cells.
