A Pride Job
In 1987 the then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, walked around the old industrial site of Head Wrightsons in Thornaby on Tees. Her walk became an iconic symbol of the end of Industrial Britain.
Head Wrightson was a company with a global reputation for its craftsmanship and with a workforce revered worldwide for its skills and dedication.
This film ‘A Pride Job’ looks at the extraordinary links between work and community that thrived here for so long.
