A visit from Paganini

Anne Sharp of the Georgian Theatre 250 project  was recently in the library to work with us on an Historic Newspaper workshop.  Using the microfilm collection and our library subscription to the British Newspaper Archive several interesting items were unearthed.  Most prominent among them, a visit by the celebrated violinist Niccolò Paganini to Stockton in 1833.  Ann has blogged about the session so take a look for the full story.  As Anne says, it must have been quite the occasion!
